Hull & Hull LLP, a Toronto-based litigation firm, partnered with MacroAgility Systems to implement its first document management system. The firm moved from a legacy file share structure to iManage Cloud, creating a more secure, organized, and flexible environment for managing legal documents and emails.

Over a three-month engagement, MacroAgility led the iManage Cloud deployment, migrated documents from file shares, configured email and document management functionality, designed customized workspace templates, and integrated the system with Soluno, Hull & Hull’s billing platform.

Background & Introduction:

Hull & Hull LLP is a respected boutique litigation firm based in Toronto, Ontario. The firm is known for its work in estate, trust, and capacity litigation, mediation, and estate planning.

Before working with MacroAgility, Hull & Hull did not have a centralized document management system. The firm relied on traditional file share structures to manage legal files, which created challenges around consistency, accessibility, organization, and remote work.

Hull & Hull needed a system that could modernize document management without disrupting the way its team worked day to day.

Challenges: 

Before the implementation, Hull & Hull faced several operational challenges:

MacroAgility implemented iManage Cloud as Hull & Hull’s first formal document management system.

MacroAgility also helped create structured folder templates so new matters could be organized consistently. Through integration with Soluno, new matter creation could support the appropriate folder structure and security setup.
